Unlimited Modified Tractors
We have 21 Unlimited Modified Tractors tonight pulling on the south track. Bauer Ironman is the sled.
Bill Leischner is the test puller in Dirtslinger; he goes 306 ft and turns down the distance. Ken Veney is the next puller in the Funny Farmall. He has a strong pull going until one of the engines toss a blower belt and he stops at 293 ft.
Bill Voreis raises the bar to 322 ft with the American Thunder, taking first over place and setting up a potential pulloff. Steve Bollinger in Top Gun with three Allison engines goes 281 ft. The Dirt Challenger piloted by Joe Eder has problems and comes to a stop at 77 ft.
A few drops of rain have begun to fall at 9:20 p.m. Terry Jostock pulls 282 ft in the Wild One. Steve Klingenberg drives the Bad Habit out to 261 ft. Bill Leischner pulls 265 ft in Dirtslinger on his return pull.
The few drops of rain have turned into a light sprinkle now at 9:40 pm and the track seems to be going away. Wayne Purser pilots Uncle Sam to a 269 ft pull. Bob Jostock in Wild Child goes a distance of 250 ft. Bruce Slagh is on and off the throttle of Show No Mercy a couple of time in the first hundred feet and comes to a stop at 248.5 ft.
The light rain has pretty much stopped at 9:50 pm. John Evans in Double Stuffed has a strong run going. The header pipes are glowing bright red and then there's a spectacular explosion with a ball of fire and the tractor comes to a halt at 246 ft. Billy Biers is on and off the throttle of Stampede several times coming off the line; then a supercharger burst panel pops, a bit of flames shoot out and the tractor comes to a stop at 248.1 ft.
Nicole Snyder pilots the Legend to a distance of 260 ft. Shawn Swearingen has to feather the throttle off the line in the Joker; it pops a burst panel on one of the superchargers and comes to a halt at 219 ft. Doug Downs in Predator runs a distance of 264 ft. Dave Snyder in Space Invader goes 249 ft.
Brian Diekman in Rat Poison pulls a distance of 271 ft. Wayne Bunnage in Takes a Lickin' runs out to 246 ft.
No pulloff in this class tonight. Congratulation to Bill Voreis and American Thunder for their victory in Unlimited Modified Tractors. |
