Biodiesel Program swings into Ottertail, MN for "Smokin' Iron NTPA Nationals" Worthington, OH -- The "Smokin' Iron NTPA Nationals" in Ottertail, Minn. will offer some of the finest pulling of the Region III season as well as kick off the United Soybean Board/Soybean Checkoff program's tie-in promoting their "Fueling the 2008 NTPA Championship Pulling Season" slogan. The event on June 13-14 has a special local tie-in with Perham Co-op Creamery Association, a sponsor of the event and participating NTPA competitors. Competitors can get their rigs filled with B-2 biodiesel in the Ottertail pit area by Perham's bulk truck on Saturday at a savings of $0.10 per gallon under the current market pump pricing. This arrangement was made between the Ottertail promoters and their local sponsor. The NTPA and USB/Soybean Checkoff program wish to thank them for their generosity. The Perham Co-op Creamery Assn. is a Cooperative in North Central Minnesota established in 1911. Over the years the Perham Co-op has expanded from its original roots as a creamery to other retail business, such as feed, fertilizer, ag chemicals, custom application, meat processing and retailing, refined fuels, propane, convenience stores, motel, and other farm supplies. The Perham Co-op Creamery Association currently serves the communities of Perham, Richville, Battle Lake, Vining, Clitherall, Henning, Detroit Lakes, Underwood, New York Mills, Park Rapids, Akley, Bluffton and many others through-out north central Minnesota, with locations in Perham, Battle Lake, Vergas, Menahga, Park Rapids, and Ottertail.
