Old Washington to Feature Four Region II Classes Tuesday Night

The Guernsey County Fair has cancelled its Tuesday, September 11 NTPA event. The already-soaked grounds experienced additional light rains Tuesday morning, making the wet conditions too much to overcome.

Because the event was cancelled more than eight hours before the scheduled start time, competitors need not report. Entry will not open, and no points will be awarded.

Worthington, Ohio---Old Washington, Ohio: Get ready to hear the power and feel the noise!

In conjunction with the Guernsey County Ag Society, the National Tractor Pullers Association will present the Guernsey County Fair Pull on Tuesday, September 11 at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds. The four-class session will begin at 6 p.m.

In truck and tractor pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller that achieves the greatest distance is victorious. The NTPA is the world's number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level events that feature highly specialized machines resembling farm tractors, trucks, and dragsters and dedicated competitors that battle for purse money and end-of-season championships. No other motorsport offers the diversity of vehicle types, variety of engine combinations, intensity of brand rivalries, and accessibility of competitors. If you're looking for fierce, fair competition in a family-friendly, patriotic atmosphere, give truck and tractor pulling a try in Old Washington.

Divisions competing at the Guernsey County Fair Pull include Regional National Light Pro Stock Tractors, Two-Wheel-Drive and StainlessDiesel.com Pro Stock Diesel 4x4 3.0 Trucks, and Multi-Engine Modifieds. All of the classes will compete for points toward championships in NTPA's Region II (Light Pros and Two Wheel Drives: II East) and berths in the 2019 all-star invitational Enderle Pull-Off in Urbana, Ohio.

Winners at Old Washington in 2017 were Matthew Cosler of Wilmington, Ohio ("All In" LT PS), Jeff Writsel of Orient, Ohio ("At It Again" TWD), Adam Hallien of Fort Wayne, Indiana ("Wrecker" PSD 4x4), and Alan Judy of Germantown, Ohio ("Raptor" MOD).

Expected to compete in Old Washington in defense of their 2017 championships are Kendall Houk of Lynchburg, Ohio ("Nothing Special" LT PS-E), Writsel, Rob Wright of McArthur, Ohio ("All Attitude" PSD 4x4), and Ryan Writsel of Orient, Ohio ("Lucky Stryke" MOD).
