Worthington, Ohio---Gold standard. Golden anniversary.
On Saturday, September 14, the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, Ohio will host the 33rd Enderle Memorial Pull-Off as part of the 50th season of National Tractor Pullers Association Championship Pulling. The all-star invitational event will be conducted in two sessions to begin at 5 p.m. and approximately 7:30 p.m. and streamed live to the world at WatchNTPA.com.
In NTPA Championship Pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller who achieves the greatest distance is victorious. At events across the United States, elite competitors campaign their specialized machines---which resemble farm tractors, trucks, and dragsters---for chances at purse money and precious points toward end-of-season championships.
In 2019, the Association is proud to complete its first half century as the world's original and number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level truck and tractor pulling contests. Fierce, fair pulling competition and a family-friendly, patriotic atmosphere are hallmarks of NTPA Championship Pulling. If you haven't experienced the rumbles, roars, and rivalries of the heaviest sport on wheels, why not give it a try in Urbana?
Over $105,000 will be awarded in the sport's most prestigious invitational. Competititors earn the right to participate by pulling all season long and earning points across the NTPA's Grand National Series, presented by Case IH Agriculture, and four territorial regions. Sponsored by Enderle Fuel Injection of Simi Valley, California and presented by Farmers Equipment Incorporated of Urbana, Case IH, and Ray Hensley Incorporated of Springfield, Ohio, the Enderle Memorial Pull-Off is named in honor of beloved founders Kent and Joan Enderle.
Session One will feature 43 competitors in 10 divisions of Tractors (Light Super Stock, Heavy Super Stock, Super Farm, Light Pro Stock, and Limited Pro Stock), Trucks (Two Wheel Drive, Four Wheel Drive, and StainlessDiesel.com Pro Stock Diesel 4x4 3.0), and Nodifieds (Mini and Multi-Engine) beginning at 5 p.m. Qualifying for this session began in September of 2018 and proceeded through over 60 Regional National events on the NTPA's 2018 schedule.
Session Two will follow the presentations of Regional National awards and will present 65 competitors in 13 divisions: Light Super Stock, Super Stock Diesel, Super Stock Open, Super Farm, and Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4x4, and Super Semi Trucks; and Mini, Light Unlimited, Multi-Engine, and Unlimited Modifieds.
Prior to the late afternoon start to the on-track action, drivers and crew members will be available in the open pits to answer questions, take pictures, and sign autographs. Access to pit, vending, and exhibitor areas is included in the price of admission.
Pre-event discount adult tickets are available for $20 at the NTPA's new electronic ticketing service (ShopNTPA.com/tickets) as well as presenting sponsor Farmers Equipment of Urbana and sponsors Farmer's Daughter Restaurant of Urbana; Dave Kehl Chevrolet of Mechanicsburg; Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken locations in Clark, Logan, Shelby, and Miami Counties, and over 80 area O'Reilly Auto Parts stores. Children under 10 are admitted free.
On the day of the event, adult admission is $25. No refunds will be issued. If any of Saturday's classes are not completed due to inclement weather, they will be rescheduled for Sunday, September 15 at 1 p.m.
Fans in attendance at the Enderle Pull-Off will experience live video, distances, and instant replays on the NTPA's Mobile Videoboard. And those unable to make it to Ohio can catch all the action in real-time or on-demand via the NTPA's Live Streaming service at WatchNTPA.com. Portions of the event will also be televised as part of Season 15 of "NTPA Championship Pulling" on RFD-TV, which debuted in August.
