Cloverdale's NTPA Winter Nationals to Host Nine Divisions on January 11-12

Worthington, Ohio---The National Tractor Pullers Association and the C-Bar-C Expo Center in Cloverdale, Indiana will team up to produce the fifth annual NTPA Winter Nationals presented by Bane-Welker Equipment. Conducted on a regulation-length 320' course, the indoor event will feature nine NTPA divisions and comprise three sessions on Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12.

In truck and tractor pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller that achieves the greatest distance is victorious. The NTPA is the world's number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level championship pulling events. With superchargers emitting an ear-splitting whine, massive tires churning clay at 100-mph wheelspeeds, and turbochargers pumping columns of diesel smoke, high-performance pulling offers fans a multitude of thrills unmatched by any other motorsport.

Before and between the competition---in Session One on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sessions Two and Three on Saturday at noon and 7 p.m.---pulling fans are invited to stroll the open pits, vendor and exhibitor areas, and refreshment stands. They're all under one roof at the expansive C-Bar-C complex, which will host a post-session concert by David Ball on Friday night. Discounted pre-sale tickets for individual sessions, all day Saturday, and the entire weekend are on sale now at O'Reilly Auto Parts outlets and at ShopNTPA.com.

Appearing for the first time in Cloverdale will be Super Farm Tractors in a Friday evening class sponsored by Big Ass Diesel of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Divisions returning to the friendly confines of C-Bar-C include Super Stock Diesel and Pro Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel 4x4 and Exhibition Super Semi Trucks, and Modified Minis (Friday, 7 p.m. and Saturday, 7 p.m.), Light Pro Stock Tractors (Saturday, noon and 7 p.m.), and Two-Wheel-Drive and Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks (Saturday, noon).

Competitors scheduled to appear include 2018 champions Carl Atley (GN SSD 4x4), Adam Bauer (GN MINI), Ben Ellis (GN FWD), Dean Holicky (GN SEMI), Kendall Houk (RN LT PS), Charles Pelletier (GN PS), Randy Petro (GN TWD), Wes Spencer (RN LT PS), and Stan Warda (GN SF). The complete list of invitees appears in the December issue of The Puller magazine and online at www.NTPAPULL.com.

Fans in Cloverdale will see all the action along with instant replays on the NTPA's LED Scoreboard. Can't make it to part or all of the event? Stream it live or on-demand at WatchNTPA.com.
