Roy Everett, Pulling Hall-of-Famer, Has Passed

Our office has received word that Roy Everett, Four Wheel Drive pioneer, 2010 Pulling Hall of Fame inductee, and father of current FWD competitor Tony, has passed away. Mr. Everett, 78, drove various editions of the "Doerunner" Chevrolet/GMC starting from the earliest days of FWD competition in the 1970s and won several Regional National point championships.

A retired dairy farmer, Mr. Everett was a deacon and committee chairman at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in his hometown of Doerun, Georgia. He is survived by his wife Connie Sanderson Everett; his brother Ferrell; sons Tony and his special friend Christy Lowery and Paul and his wife Sunny; grandchildren Austin, Bryce, and Bailey Everett; and good friend William Collins.
