Worthington, Ohio---Gold standard. Golden anniversary.
Thursday through Saturday, June 20-22, Recreation Park in Tomah, Wisconsin will host the Budweiser Dairyland Super Nationals as part of the 50th season of National Tractor Pullers Association Championship Pulling. Welcoming 12 divisions from the 2019 NTPA Grand National Series presented by Case IH Agriculture plus three more from NTPA's Region III, the event, presented by the Monroe County Ag Society, will be conducted in five sessions.
In NTPA Championship Pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller who achieves the greatest distance is victorious. At events across the United States, elite competitors campaign their specialized machines---which resemble farm tractors, trucks, and dragsters---for chances at purse money and precious points toward end-of-season championships.
In 2019, the Association is proud to complete its first half century as the world's original and number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level truck and tractor pulling contests. Fierce, fair pulling competition and a family-friendly, patriotic atmosphere are hallmarks of NTPA Championship Pulling. If you haven't experienced the rumbles, roars, and rivalries of the heaviest sport on wheels, why not give it a try in Tomah?
The Budweiser Dairyland Super Nationals will feature 12 of the NTPA's Grand National divisions: Light Super Stock, Super Stock Diesel, Super Stock Open, and Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4x4, and Super Semi Trucks; and Mini, Light Unlimited, Multi-Engine, and Unlimited Modifieds. All will vie for national titles, a lucrative year-end points fund, and shares of Case IH bonus monies exceeding $50,000. Moreover, Tomah represents either the first or second stop on the 2019 Shell Rotella Cup tour for drivers in all appearing GN divisions who will compete for Hardest-Working Puller Total Distance Awards and whose top three finishers in the bonus series will be rewarded at its conclusion in the Bowling Green, Ohio winners circle in August.
Also performing in Tomah will be Region III Super Farm, Light Pro Stock, and Limited Pro Stock Tractors, who will compete for titles in NTPA's Region III, which encompasses Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. And all competitors---all weekend long---will be fighting for berths in the NTPA's all-star invitational Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 14 in Urbana, Ohio.
Classes scheduled for each session of the Budweiser Dairyland Super Nationals are as follows: Session One (Fan Appreciation Night/Thursday, 7 p.m.): GN Light Super Stock, Super Stock Open, Four Wheel Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4x4, and Light Unlimited and RN Light Pro Stock.
